Many diabetics wearing wrong size shoes

A study in Scotland found that almost two-thirds of diabetics in a study were wearing the wrong-sized shoes and risking serious foot problems.

The study, published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice, also found that one-third of diabetics said they take a different shoe size to the one they were actually wearing.

Dr. Graham Leese of the University of Dundee said foot problems could be reduced if adults were offered foot-measuring services in shoe stores.
